Overview

Long Plains Solar Farm is a 150MW Solar Farm and 100MW/200MWh battery stroage project located at Long Plain, 10 km east of Inverell on the edge of the NE REZ. The site is predomintantly flat and is expected to produce 406 GWh of energy annually. The Proposed connection point is at the rear of the property without any immediate neighbouring dwellings.

Grid connection

•Transgrid’s 132 kW Glen Innes to Inverell transmission line runs through the south side of the property which is also connected to White Rock and Sapphire Wind Farms.

•Glen Innes connects into the QNI 330kV network

•Energy Co NSW transmission upgrades planned for 2031 to increase network capacity
