Science and technology are delivering knowledge and capabilities at an astounding rate. The ability to use this technology to combat climate change and deliver energy & water security is what has motivated me to enter the world of renewable technology.

The transition to renewables presents an incredible opportunity for the redistribution of wealth for Australia and in particular, regional Australia. The potential to deliver the cheapest energy in the world will enable the expansion of materials processing and high value manufacturing to become competitive. New resources markets to replace coal, high tech green agriculture and new air-to-water generation technology to improve water security and quality.

Prior to starting a career in renewables, I had thirty years in (FMCG) Retail primarily as an entrepreneur, some technology project management roles, along with a cameo hospitality business.

Outside of work I have enjoyed volunteer roles such as President of the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association (3 years), and various roles with Belmont District Cricket Club, Charlestown Junior Cricket Club, Charlestown Junior Soccer Club and Central Newcastle Junior Rugby League Club. I love my sport and family time and keep the brain active playing NRL/BBL supercoach.
